My way to pottery – part 4. In 2002 I started working at the potter’s wheel. For ever unforgettable is the first step: During one hour I have a first fight with about 200g of clay. After this hour I was a piece of clay and water – my hair, my clothes, my shoes, the space around me. It was terrible. I never, never wanted go back to this machine, I wanted bring back it to where I bought it. But I did not. Instead of this I started looking for somebody who could help me. Not only in the technical way, I felt, that I needed someone who could motivate me…… I looked around for about a year and was not happy with the classes I found and took part. But then I saw him and his works – my post from today shows some of his vases – and I suddenly knew: He was the one I was looking for. I stay with him for five years. Three days a week from the morning to the evening I was in his studio fighting with clay and more. Sometime it was a horrible time and sometime one of the best I ever had. It was all about practice and balancing. During this time I made my first exhibitions, I opened my first potter studio. In 2008 I stopped. I needed a rest to think about all: Should I go on? Should I stop forever? Was pottery the thing I wanted to go on with? #ceramics #vase #studio #studio #architecture #masterpiece #pottery #series #perfection #handmade #craft #clay #making #simple #exhibition #project #abstract #perfect #past #zurich #switzerland #art #photo #scene #modern #japan #elegant #korea #china #nature
