'between forest and sky'
when i wake up in the morning, i see the sky, the forest, the mountains. and i hear nothing but the gentle murmur of the stream, sometimes a bird in the distance. most of my time, i am living in the mountains on the south side of Grisons. this silence of the valley probably influences my creation the most. this calmness and simplicity shape my vessels in the design. the colours of the surroundings, however, shape my choice of surfaces.
the tenmoku glaze of this bowl captures this mood. the bowl changes its radiance with the changing light, the time of day, the season. and the silence always remains. the shape of the vessel remains, too.
