Happy to present some new works as this jar and these bowls. All pieces are hand thrown from stoneware and coated with new mixed old glazes. These craquele glazes are more than twenty years in my hands: I created them for my first tableware collection that was my final thesis of my five years of training as a ceramist. Long time ago! A beauty in blue: Delicate tea bowl, hand thrown from stoneware and coated with my magical blue craquele glaze. Also the basic of this craquele glaze is more than twenty years in my hands: I created this blue and a brighter one for my first tableware collection, called ‚PUR’, that was my final thesis of my five years of training as a ceramist. As you already know, in the meantime I adjusted the glaze mix slightly, but it still have that airy soft expression that I was looking for. This small winter tea bowl is coated with the blue glaze. 7/ HOPELESS: It is over. 2019. For two decades I have been working sporadically on groups of works with the main titles ‘HOPE’ and ‘HOPELESS’. With ‘HOPELESS: It is over’ I present another work that fits into this topic. The group I created in 2019 – consisting of fifteen hand thrown and sculpturally finished bottles for tears and a wide plate to give them support – is dedicated to the boundless sadness I suffered when my father died 26 years ago. May I introduce? My best work so far: Edition masterpiece, 2015. A tea bowl, handthrown in white porcelain. I was absolutely in love with it. Unfortumately, two years ago, this bowl was sold when I was not in my studio: It was a mistake because I never wanted to sold it. I am still sad when I think about. At least I have this picture: I normally have no problems to let go my work but this bowl was so special for me, I worked for hours on all the lines and I went to my limits and also to the limit of the material – some parts were so thin and they were not broken during the firing. Edition ‚Masterpieces’, January 2018. Porcelain, white, hand thrown, no glaze and with the thread: I have used this detail – my ‚artist mark‘ – for about fifteen years as a signature for my works. This picture shows a simple white, pure and matte bowl, with a golden thread – medium size with a height of 10cm and a diameter of 15cm: Delicate and translucent – you can see the light shining through. Slide through the three poctures: On the first thrre are some of the 61 white porcelain bowls that I made for the installation ‚apero riche’ in December last year: My friend @regula_kilchsperger made 61 original sized cashew nuggets in pure 999 gold – pictures two and film three – and I threw the 61 porcelain bowls with a golden thread as a space or ‘home‘ for the cashews. The cashew nuts and bowls are numbered and stamped and with each sale we also support a cashew farming charity project in Burkina Faso.
