Espresso cups, handthrown in porcelain – I covered the cups with a transparent and a red glaze and was curious what will happen during firing: That is the result. Regarding aesthetics, I am not yet sure if I like it or not – but I am certain: To drink my strong black coffee out of them is great!

A jug and its cups – handthrown with a simple form in stoneware and coated with a visually complex iron glaze. I use this set for water, but you may fill in whatever you want. Yes, I make a lot of bowls, plates and cups and I love to do this – but sometimes I make something else with clay like this big chicken. I called it ‘queen of the night’ and this black clay queen is now somewhere at the lake geneva where the collector that bought it lives.
