I made the design and prototypes for my third and last tableware collection ‘blackbeauty’ in 2015/16 – in March 2017 I presented the complete series for the first time in my showroom. It is over! Last Saturday evening, I finished a last commission of my tableware edition ‚black beauties’ from this year: Maybe you remember that I had to make all the pieces a second time? Tonight I started the first kiln and on Thursday I will start a second one – then all cups, bowls and plates for the party of seven will be finally ready…..I am behind with my work because of the accident during the drying process and I lost at least two weeks of work. Tomorrow, I will start with the next pieces for a very nice client and a very patience, too: I will make a dozen of quite big bowls also in black porcelain and then I have to complete again some bowls from stoneware. I would like to finish all this year: In January and February I need all my time and energy to prepare my solo exhibition in Tokyo that opens on March 16, 2019 – I will be there maybe some of you, too? Work in progress! This night, the last of the sixteen stoneware plates will go into the kiln. Some others are drying after glazing. Plates are always a bit tricky to make.
