Some of my favourite individual works. These pieces are masterpieces, individual works that exist only once. I love working like this, but not only: I am also working in series with much more tolerance for every piece : Then I am making a lot of works, for example hundred of bowls, a kind of family. Coffeedream! Do you remember? A few days ago, I showed a post with these coffee cups in the making – here they are now ready for use! Perfect to become a favourite gem because when they are full of delicious coffee or tea they are warm but not hot in the hands and you can just walk around without holding a saucer or something like that. One of these days – when Tuesday smells like Monday…..after two wonderful days I turned back to Zurich and started with a problem: One month ago I sent a parcel with teabowls to China and it did not yet arrive! I wanted to check where it is and t realized that the volunteer at the desk from swiss post forgot to send it with a tracking number! So nobody will ever know where the teabowls are. This story reminded me of an similar issue in June this year when I sent porcelain bowls to Sydney that a client ordered for a wedding: Instead of the promised maximum of 8 days the parcel took more than four weeks and arrived in Sidney two days after the wedding! I was so so angry! Does anyone know who to deal with these things? Would be helpful for me….I was in such a bad mood after all this today that I was not at all in the mood to start with my stoneware project that has to be ready November, 26th – the day when this new collection will launch exclusively for a concept store in Zurich. So tomorrow I have to get up early in the morning because I have not too much time left for everything I want to do. What a light! It is so great to start into the week which such a beautiful sunshine, here it falls on one of my white porcelain bowls! Do you notice the translucent parts on the surface? These are the thinnest parts of the bowl, only a ‚breeze‘ of material! As I already wrote: I am quite busy at the moment and I am working on different projects. My nights are short. Flowerpower! Last Friday, Fred @banditbloggers visited my studio and took some great pictures, two of them I show in the current post: Some of my green and blue vases, wheel thrown im stoneware, with my gallery flowers. I love the vases and also the flowers – every Tuesday I buy some new ones on the market for my studio, for me and of course for all the people around. Everybody can see them because they are well placed in the middle of the showroom and also visible from the outside. Many people from the neighborhood tell me that they enjoy my flowers and vases every day.
