Together we made this tea set ‚blue hour’ from blue porcelain with a disc in gold 18c in the middle of the jar and a ring around the foot, jar and two cups on a plate in brass. HRK edition 2018. May I introduce? My best work so far: Edition masterpiece, 2015. A tea bowl, handthrown in white porcelain. I was absolutely in love with it. Unfortumately, two years ago, this bowl was sold when I was not in my studio: It was a mistake because I never wanted to sold it. I am still sad when I think about. At least I have this picture: I normally have no problems to let go my work but this bowl was so special for me, I worked for hours on all the lines and I went to my limits and also to the limit of the material – some parts were so thin and they were not broken during the firing. Monday morning mood: Two simple white and translucent tea bowls in porcelain, they are waiting for the morning tea in the studio. I have a short way to take from my house to the studio and first thing I do there is making hot water for tea. Then I decide how to start. My ‚mountain‘ studio is not as organized as the one in Zurich, it is completely different here. I am working here in a very old house from the 16th century, it is a darker house, quiet and with views on mountains and small streets. It is interesting how the environment influences my mood and my work. Hope you can get that feeling through the picture? Back to my roots : I am still working on the two very last tableware orders – a party for sixteen and another for ten – and at the same time I started working on new things for my upcoming exhibitions.
