Dreaming? I am almost sold out again and I did not expect this. But I have prepared two more kilns with black porcelain works, so I will be able to show some new works in about three weeks. Thanks, big thanks to all the many visitors of the last weeks in my workshop as well as in my online gallery. I bow, I am overwhelmed – I did not expect this when I came to my mountain studio almost two months ago. It is more than great and it lets me continue on my own way. 7/ HOPELESS: It is over. 2019. For two decades I have been working sporadically on groups of works with the main titles ‘HOPE’ and ‘HOPELESS’. With ‘HOPELESS: It is over’ I present another work that fits into this topic. The group I created in 2019 – consisting of fifteen hand thrown and sculpturally finished bottles for tears and a wide plate to give them support – is dedicated to the boundless sadness I suffered when my father died 26 years ago. One cold but sunny afternoon in February 1993, he was 58 years old. Exhibited in my showroom.
